Machaon recognizes that many acute presentations of disease give little warning when they manifest. Many clients send us unannounced STAT samples. And that's ok; we are happy to help! 

We will set up your account upon your arrival of first sample.

Quarterly QA Reviews

QA Effectiveness metrics, applied to your samples

Quarterly quality assurance effectiveness meeting are provided to contracted clients. We will review turnaround time performance, QA metrics, any non-conforming events and customer satisfaction, specific to your institution. The QA review assess the overall relationship and opportunities for improvement.

Machaon provides services with Net 30 payment terms. Certain international clients may be required at submit payment at time of service. Invoices are mailed or emailed upon completion of services. Modified terms may be available under contract.

FAQ

How do I submit an order that is to be billed to insurance (e.g. prior authorization, kit, etc.)?
Please call the laboratory for guidance- contact the Patient Advocate for assistance with prior authorization and insurance related questions, and Client Services for support with account setup, kit requests and instructions, etc.
What is the status of my prior authorization?
Machaon Patient Advocates support all prior authorizations and GAP exceptions for patients and clients. Please call our patient advocate group at (800) 566-3462.
What will my insurance cover for outpatient lab services?
Generally, it is uncertain until your insurer makes a coverage decision. By employing Machaon patient advocates in the process, we maximize reimbursements with prior authorizations and GAP exceptions. We have several sponsored testing programs inside of Machaon where testing is provided at no charge. We abide by the No Surprises Act when we learn of a bill that will be the patient's responsibility. Please inquire with our billing specialists and patient advocates at (800) 566-3462.
To whom do I contact for questions about an invoice (both facilities and patients)?
For facilities, please ask for the Billing and Finance department. For patients, please contact the Patient Advocate.
Do we accept Medicaid?
We do not accept Medicaid or Medicaid programs. We contract with medicare and accept all Medicare beneficiaries. NOTE: Medicaid patients may be able to receive services through our assistance programs - please contact the Patient Advocate.
